Ratalang (Basham Beach) Regional Park

Where is it?: Ratalang (Basham Beach) Regional Park runs from Commodore Point, Port Elliot to Basham Beach Road and is bounded on the west by the Victor Harbor – Mount Barker railway line and Fisherman Bay on the east.

Landscape Management Region: Hills and Fleurieu

Habitat: The area is disturbed coastal sand dune. Extensive re-vegetation has been undertaken by The Friends of Basham Beach.

Total Species Recorded to Date: 100 (non-passerines 63, passerines 37)

Common Species: Spur-winged Plover, Silver Gull, Crested Pigeon, New Hollabnd Honeyeater, Red Wattlebird, Singing Honeyeater, Australian Magpie, Willie Wagtail, Silvereye

Less Common Species: Cape Barren Goose, Australasian Grebe, Australian Golden Whistler, Grey Shrikethrush, Grey Fantail, Brown Songlark
